Well here it is ladies and gents, the next assault on the transgender and gender fluid communities:

The Trump administration, through the person of Marco Rubio, has now ordered the immediate cessation of any applications to change gender or to list gender as “X” on a US Passport. Apparently, if you currently have your gender marker listed as “X”, your passport is still legal - but you will not be able to renew it as such. Unless of course Trump’s successor changes things back, or the courts rule his action to be discriminatory; but don’t hold your breath on that one.
Once again, I cannot express how thankful I am that my parents moved to California in 1959, so that I was born there in 1960 - which allowed me to have my birth certificate corrected, which then allowed me to get my passport corrected pre-Trump. Add in that I live in New York State, so all of my ID reads female, I also corrected my gender with the Social Security Administration and the VA some years back, so all of my legal records read female - as do all of my school records as well.
To those who have not been able to do this, you have my utmost sympathy, and my utmost support. Don’t despair - the pendulum will swing back the other way, and we will overcome the Orange Ass and his supporters!

NY
NY still allows BC change without surgery.
Not sure about NYC with regard to a surgery requirement but since I am post-op it is not an issue for me.
Thankfully my first passport was in 2005 and since it was my first passport, ever, and I was already post, it is a non-issue.
Renewal would be trivial since BC and previous passport gender matches.
Mine matches as well…….
The key being the birth certificate. But you have to remember any other government records you might have as well. Most people don’t think about it since your SS card does not list gender, but the SSA records indicate gender as well. If you have not had that one changed, you might want to think about trying to get it done.

That was basically my second change, done decades ago.
I would do that soon too before they have the bright idea of preventing that change.
Hits keep coming
I would love to engage in a desired change of appearance...
Unfortunately, I am 82 years of age and have had significant testosterone poisoning such
that I would make a poor looking lady. I do have dreams however.
God bless all of you and good fortune to you all
