I’m beginning a new series today, and returning to my roots a bit. When I first started posting stories here, I would post chapters of a series more-or-less as I wrote them. Typically, I had a good idea where the story would ultimately end, but only a general sense of how it would get there. The journey was part of the fun of it. As each chapter would post and I would engage with people leaving comments, my ideas for future chapters tended to shift. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. So that’s how I’ll be doing Kern, except I do have a couple of the initial chapters written. Even there, the concrete’s still wet. My intention is to post weekly on Monday evenings (UTC-5). For those of you who hesitate to start reading a series until it’s done, believe me, I understand. I’ve wailed and gnashed my teeth at any number of wonderful stories that authors left unfinished — generally in the middle of a cliffhanger! All I can say is, I’ve never yet failed to finish a story I’ve started posting, and only rarely have I failed to meet an announced posting schedule. I spent a career meeting deadlines, and they tend to focus my mind like nothing else. So there it is. Kern is departing from Gate 42 (naturally), with a listed destination of “parts unknown.” You are welcome to board at any time. On behalf of all of us at Air-e-Tate, I hope you enjoy the flight. :) — Emma |

I was..
I was looking foward to a summer in Termina. But the steamer was late and crossing from BCTS to Termina via the Great Sea is a peril that I don't think I'm brave enough to undertake yet. But I'm betting Air-e-Tate is a lot safer that the The King Of Red Lions. So I'm going to pack my bags, buy a ticket and look toward following the adventures of Ken. I'll be waiting by Gate 42 in my new pink Sailor Fuku and mathing leather school bag and of course I'll bring plenty of paper and pens to take notes. Because I'm sure it's going to a wild ride.
I am hoping . . . .
I am hoping the fate of The King of Red Lions is not my own, but there: Wyrd bið ful āræd.
I’m so happy you’ll be joining the flight — in that Sailor Fuku, it could only have been you! Are we going to Termina? Perhaps, perhaps not. I can’t say. It’s a secret to everybody. ;-)

Excellent!
I’ve been trying to get this story to happen for over a year, and I figured it was past time for me to get off my butt and do it!
