I have certain authors that I follow because they still speak to me and others I had to drop because it's all so old or just not done well enough. So I totally get it. I will always seek out those authors that still have something to say to me. I will never write totally realistic trans fiction because we all need the break from an often harsh reality. I have read several "real life" ones and I can only have my heart broken so many times, as well as being triggered every five minutes.
