Hi all,
Today, I've got a little tidbit to share that's sure to tickle your fancy!
I dove headfirst into my story stats on Friday, curious about what really lights your fire. And guess what? Stories that are easy on the ears (and just as easy on the pants) are stealing the show with some seriously impressive hits-to-kudos ratios.
But that is only half the story!!!

More Likely...
...the lower count on the Kemeia series is that it's described as a fan continuation of something that I suspect a lot of people, me definitely included, have never heard of. (And compounds the situation by starting with "act four", implying that if one hasn't encountered the original three acts there's no point in starting from here.)
As to your main point, I can't really comment intelligently, since I'm such a prude that I didn't look at any of them. (Except to make the obvious point that Part One of a series always gets more hits than any of the others, both because people look at it before deciding whether or not to continue and because some people bring it up again later to refresh their memory when new chapters appear.)

This was me just finding an excuse for drumming up traffic :).
The smut level affects
The smut level affects likelihood of reading it too.
Basically the scenario is "click on the title" (our curious monkey brain and all) - that gets registered as 'read', try reading, find out that it is... too much/too "eww"/or just not to your taste, scroll down - to see - may be that was only part of it, close it.
PS. No, I am not prude, I do read some of it. Just that way too many of such stories trigger my "eww" factor. Or the balance between 'fetish' and 'story' is way too skewed.
