Here I stand, waiting for a kiss
My eyes are closed and I wait
Feeling joy in my lover’s embrace
I feel his kiss and my soul sings
Here I sit, waiting for a caress
My eyes are closed and I wait
Feeling joy in my lover’s embrace
I feel his caress and my body trembles
Here I lay, waiting for passion
My eyes are closed and I wait
Feeling joy in my lover’s embrace
I feel his passion, and return it in kind
Here I stand waiting for love
My eyes are open and I wait
Feeling devoid of my lover’s embrace
For in order to feel his kiss, caress and passion
I must first find the right one.

Great Poem Jess !
This poem reflects what we all long for from the one we love and trying to find the right one is never an easy thing. Great Poem!

verse...
... or poetry is tough. It seldom gets much attention and doesn't rate like it perhaps should at times. This is a nice piece dealing with desire and a gentle longing for love. Something I think many can relate to... even those that may not put a 'him' in the potential lover position. Hey it's all good innit. Good one Jessica.
