It suddenly dawned on me that over the course of this calendar year, I’ve posted an Easter story, a Halloween story, a Thanksgiving story, a Christmas story, and a New Year’s story.
Dear God, I’ve become the Lacey Chabert of BC.
[Whereupon, the author stares into the middle distance, eyes crinkling in pain. In a low voice, she intones, “How did it ever come to this?]

Temporary insanity?
That's the usual plea.
Oh.......

Ooh you're a holiday

We just >so< gotta steal ...

In your case, the "Laugh" one ... :)

Next year, maybe also stories for:
Valentine's Day and,
Passover, where a 'lost' family member or friend does come through 'Elijah's door'.

PS: And your "The Doorway" (https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/97322/doorway) is among stories that I read when I want 'happy sniffles'. Again.
I seem to remember. . .
There’s a famous massacre that took place on Valentine’s Day. A story about massacres might salvage my reputation. Maybe?
Glad you like The Doorway! :)
Emma
now all you need is Independence Day story
if you're American, that is. One day, I might make a Canada Day story . . .
Anzac day.
I could seriously get into writing an Anzac Day story. Maybe I could talk Joanne into working with me . . . . :)

Don't forget Korvapuustipäivä
or Cinnamon roll day. Celebrated both in Finland and Sweden.
Donut Day
There's a bakery in my area that proclaims, "Every day is donut day."

Don't forget Pączki (punch-key) Day, Miss Emma. We take our Fat Tuesday celebration seriously (with jelly dripping from lips and fingers...). :DD

American???
Dorothy, do not forget that you are also an American! Because Canada actually a bigger part of America than that divided country that is trying to usurp the name of the continent. Just as I am also an American (though from south of the equator), although I have no desire to be associated in any way, shape or form with the first country in America to declare independence from colonial rule.

So, on the to-do list then:
So, on the to-do list then: an end of the universe story. ;-)
I heard...
I heard there's a great restaurant there. You can even meet the meat!
I'm Still Trying
To finish my Christmas story.
There's this bloody New Year's Contest which keeps diverting my attention away from it. I'll have to change the posting date and then it will get submerged in the deluge of stories for the competition and sink like lost Atlantis.
Anzac Day? Maybe. The King's Birthday, hmmmm. Nah, I'm a republican (small 'r' please).
St Valentine's Day massacre ...
... Chicago, IL, USA:

Ick!

Since I live in Chicago, I have passed the site many times ...
there already was a trans story about that event
called "some like it hot"
My favorite line in the movie
At end Joe E Brown and Jack Lemon are in a speed boat. Joe E Brown's character has fallen in love with Jack Lemon's femme presentation. The only reason Jack Lemon is in the boat is to get away from the mob. Joe E Brown is going on about how they are made for each other and Jack Lemon is trying to discourage him.
In desperation Jack Lemon pulls off his wig and says, "I'm not a girl!" Joe E Brown answers, "Nobody's perfect."

Presidents Day?
I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who's written a BCTS story for Presidents Day (https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/5970/spare).
At least, it's the only one with a "Presidents Day" tag.
If I recall correctly, the inspiration came from one of Melanie E.'s challenges.
