At odd times there are two vertical lines on my monitor screen to the right of the centerline. They are a very minor inconvenience. I am just wondering if they come from my own Video card, BCTS or some sort of source elsewhere on the internet. I have tried to restart but they are still there.
My computer is an aged (7+ years) HP wide screen all in one that uses an INTEL core i5 processor with an Nvidia video card inside. It is running Win 11. I plan to use it as long as it keeps running. I do text and internet with no games.
While doing this blog entry, I notice that the lines were gone and they just now came back. Bad memory ??? It would be almost impossible to change the memory.

Doing further research, it seems like the source is my computer. I hope it lasts until December. I need a big screen with big letters because of eye issues, possible macular degeneration.
Screen failing
Usually when lines appear on screens it means the screen is failing
At least for now it is intermittent however could become permanent
Given the age of the computer I would say screen failing is the most likely cause
I would take it to a HP repair shop
Connections
I had a similar problem years ago with a Dell laptop, the connections in the hinges were failing (a known bug with that model).
I second the trip to a PC repair place, they might be able to fix it with nowt more than contact cleaner.
Your screen sounds like the culprit
But if you suspect macular degeneration a trip to the eye doctor is in order. I suffer from AMD (wet). I no longer drive but am still able to use a computer through medication and computer screen manipulation.

If you see those lines every
If you see those lines every time in all programs (and those are "clean" vertical lines - probably screen malfunction.
Video card failing is usually more 'pattern-y' picture, more like a grid pattern, than two lines, especially if there are issues with video memory.
To add to what has been said
Vertical or horizontal individual lines appearing on a screen are almost always the monitor itself starting to fail. It is possible that a repair shop might be able to help, but the issue is a clear sign the screen/monitor is not long for this world any more. If possible looking for a replacement is advisable.

I know you said this was a all-in-one
but see if it is possible to hook up an external monitor so you can keep using the still functional PC portion of the system. Just one thought that might save you a bit of cash in the short run.

Memory issue
I'm not going to dig into this. Pretty sure that as the memory loads up a bad spot causes it. Just doing my best to back it all up and to save enough money to buy a new all in one and what ever software I need. I have lots of USB spitters and electronic hard drives for mainly pictures. The only game I used to play was the original Flight Sim when there were maps and things. This thing has and external Blu Ray drive. Microsoft was real shitty in what they did with Flight sim. I see they promise a new version in 2024. We'll see if pale face speak with forked tongue.
