A Purr-fect Reboot

My editor has been working on her own projects (as long as it's on her own time, I don't mind). The latest one she showed me piqued my interest. She's always trying to come up with money-making ideas, that feline.

She thinks the time is right for a radical reboot of Star Trek. When I told her that - fat chance - Paramount owns the rights, she spit up a fur ball and told me she has a distant cousin who is Chat du Maison in Bob Bakish's household (the President & CEO). They use a lot her programming tips, my editor tells me.

"Who do you think suggested Sly Stallone for Tulsa King? Only a feline intellect could come up with that!"

After I cleaned up the spray of matcha latte I just sipped (some of it even got my poor tabby between the whiskers), I looked over the sketch she had made:

"My cousin's coming over to form a game plan tomorrow morning. Of course, Mrs. Bakish is tagging along. By the way, you should pick up a bag of Royal Canin Persian Dry Cat Food."

"For Mrs. Bakish?"

"No, silly. You can serve her tea and biscuits like all your human guests. My cousin is one-quarter Persian and one-quarter Maine Coon. She simply can't abide the cat food you purchase for moi." She gave me the feline equivalent of a sneer.

Sometimes I wonder if there are better species to look for an editor...

Hugs,

Sammy
