Bob and I with a bit of help from my brother are going to be able to save BigCloset Classic and the 600 or so stories posted there

as well as the 90 or so posted at BigCloset Original. The server they are hosted on will be going away sometime before January 15th but we've found a new home for the stories and a new way of serving them that won't be an enormous burden on any of our other servers.

Nice Christmas present for all of us since I really hated the thought of sacrificing a lot of nice commentary if it turned out all we could save was the stories. But no, the comments will be saved and the site will be safe from the spammers and lowlifes who daily try to break the old software.

Yay, us!

Hugs,
Erin

.. fresh cream with sliced mango and blackberry puree? . Teriyaki with a drizzle of wild bush honey? Balsamic with a sprinkle of grated parmesan? Whichever, you are of course right, it's often the comments more than the bleedin' stories innit? Well, sometimes anyway. Oh... not what you meant? Well anywhooo, you serve us too well Erin, we'll get fat. But hey, tis Christmas. Taa, for all you do and you too eh Bob and even the phantom brother, nuthin' like a pinch a mystery eh.

Um, Kristina, the way you put that ...

it made me think Erin and Bob were ...I mean it sounded like WE are on the menu!

Good save gang. I agree the comments oftentimes make the stories so much better.

For all your time and effort,, Thanks!

Erin and Bob,
This is wonderful news. Saving the Classics, and the commentary, is a real act of love, and I applaud you both for it. This is especially appropriate when you factor in the fact that with FM down more days that up for the last three months, Sapphire's place unchanged for almost six months and StorySite trying for two months without an update, you two have been overwhelmed trying to carry all the load on your two sites. I worked in IT, when I had work, and I know how stressful keeping overloaded systems up can be. I can't say it enough. You two deserve all the many Thank Yous that we, your readers can possibly utter. Have a happy holiday season.

Excellent News!

There are some stories over there that I really ought to finish reading...
