I Kissed a Boy

This is a song inspired by Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl", but with a transgender twist. Enjoy!

Never seen a boy so delicate
Till the convention
Across the crowd he caught my eye
Got my attention
I strolled up to his booth
He flashed a smile at me
Sign said kiss for one buck
Funds go to charity

I kissed a boy and I liked it
The feel of his silky lipstick
I kissed a boy just to try it
I hope my girlfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a boy and I liked it
I liked it

I grinned at him and asked his name
He grinned back and blushed
Then he whispered Kissme Again
That's when my pulse rushed
It's not what, gay girls do
Not how they should behave
My head gets so confused
Hard to obey

I kissed a boy and I liked it
The feel of his silky lipstick
I kissed a boy just to try it
I hope my girlfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a boy and I liked it
I liked it

Pretty boys are so magical
Soft skin, pink lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent

I kissed a boy and I liked it
The feel of his silky lipstick
I kissed a boy just to try it
I hope my girlfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a boy and I liked it
I liked it

I kissed an androgyne and it liked me

Okay I know it's super uncool to call anybody "it" unless they ask you to (Which doesnt sound likely, but in this bigly diverse world there's probably somebody somewhere who would prefer that, like maybe they identify as "inanimate" or something; or there's a kink/degradation aspect where they want to feel dehumanized...); And if you're in doubt about someone's preferred pronoun it's safest to say "they", but I can never resist a pun.

This cute little song was a great start to my day, and it makes sense that a gay girl attracted to pretty, soft, girly people would like kissing a boy like him. It reminded me of a scene from a book by Dorothy Alison, who I guess presents as pretty butch; and she and some dyke friends were at a restaurant when she started flirting with a very femme waiter, and making him blush, and her friends were like "What the hell are you doing? That's a MALE!", but she was attracted to him at the time and didn't see any reason why she shouldn't be, just because of some identity label or some political stance. Can't remember the name of the book, if it was Ms. Alison's famous Bastard out of Carolina or some other work but she's a great writer (Altho' be warned, her impoverished early life + abuse she suffered makes for some tough reading....)

I briefly experimented ...

... with being an object in Second Life a long time ago. It was kinda fun, but got boring after a while. While I can see how some folk might like being referred to as it, I think I'd prefer she as a pronoun. I've considered using de, but almost nobody has heard of using delicate as a gender, so it would be more confusing than helpful in most cases.

I'd love to read that book by Dorothy Alison! I sorta have a soft spot for stories with butch grrls who flirt with fem bois. I'll keep you warning about the tough reading in mind. I usually shy away from stories like that, unless I'm in a good head space. I'm doing pretty good today, so I may give it a try.
