I stumbled across a website advertised on a youtube channel, so take it with a grain of salt, called World Anvil that may be a useful world building tool supposedly good for plotting rpg fantasy/sci-fi and in my opinion possibly other types of stories.
Disclaimer: I have not used this and I am not sure how the site monetizes the use of anything you create on the site, maybe there are non-web type software similar to this for story development but it seemed interesting that such tools are available.
The web site is www.worldanvil.com

Looks interesting
But maybe 10 years too late for me. I would think that this was originally designed for Dungeon Masters to help put campaigns together and then expanded into nearby related activities.
Looking at the pricing, I note that the "Free" tier has a lot of X's in it, meaning that you don't actually get much. Some of the other levels charge more than I already pay for hosting, and I bet my hosting is more flexible than what this offers (even if I did have to write the code myself!). I will note that the prices, for me in the UK, came out in Pounds Sterling, which is an indication that the builders of this code know what they are doing.
Of more concern is their T&C's, which I have not investigated, there isn't enough time left this year for that! If your story/world/whatever ends up on their website, what rights does that give them? Do they get a cut of any commercial activity you might have in mind, such as publishing? Can they prevent you posting your content elsewhere? Can you download your content if you decide to leave? What happens if the site goes belly-up?
As I said, interesting, but needs serious investigation before use.
As to "Story Plotting Aid", I might have an alternative for fellow BC authors to use. It is home-grown and mostly finished, I anticipate opening it to others to access and use in the near future. No charge, of course.

Plotting Aids
About twenty-five years ago I spent about $200 on a software program for writing fiction.
I used it to write several novels.
It taught me more than any writing class I took and much more than all but a handful of the over one hundred books I read on writing (including On Writing by Stephen King).

Good tool
This site is a really good tool. It even lets you link world maps, through sites like Inkarnate, and other things to your project. The only drawback I saw was that you have to pay to keep it private. You can do a lot of things with the free version, but it is all public. One of the more interesting aspects I noticed was that you can invite people to offer suggestions and outright changes (if I'm not mistaken) to a project. So you can sort of workshop ideas with other people.
But again, if you're the type that likes to keep things top secret, be prepared to pay.
