Been there, done that
I know how frustrating that is. I hope that you can get out for a ride on your bike or something to find your center and feel better, Maddy.

Don't take me too seriously. I'm just kitten around. :3
Too bad I can't send you a 'sad' emoji ...
After 50+years of messing with them (and some of them paid my bills...), I don't trust the beasts (computers, networks, web sites, ...)
Something will always be buggy, glitch out, lose stuff, send it to the bit bucket ...
For long stuff, I don't try to type it on-line. I go with doing writing on my personal machine in what ever word processor is handy. Most of them can be set to make backups at timed intervals ... and, as I once told a roomful of my co-workers, "if you even think about thinking about doing a safe - do a save." Then, when I like the local version, I upload that.
Typing on-line adds two more collections of failure points - everything that can go wrong with the network, and everything that can go wrong with with the host. Never-mind what I and my machine can do to me ...
Sigh. Take care.
Now I have to go and try to recover my primary machine from a system crash and Windows 8.1 (yeah, I know...) "recovery".
We love you anyways.
And I like your posts. So we miss one. We'll wait for the next. :)
