But if you accept that there is such a thing as reincarnation and then by definition accept that in your previous live's you would almost certainly been a member of the opposite sex , Would that then explain why some TG folk feel that they have been born in the wrong body..... Maybe the memories of their previous happy life are so strong that they yearn to return to those days.

Of course the more likely scientific answers as too why we feel the need to change sex are most probably the real answer...But i guess it always pays to keep an open mind!

This is an old chestnut

and one which I've exploited a bit in Snafu. I don't know if I believe in any of it but listening to Steve Jones, a geneticist talking on the radio the other day, the idea of a genetic cause for anything being found in the next few years is unlikely--especially something as complex as gender identity or sexual preference.

The good news is that only 36% of the UK population are homophobic compared to 52% twenty five years ago.

I Definitely Believe In It

I definitely believe in it. It makes sense that the idea of recycling had to originate somewhere. I suffered from a pin prick pain on the top of my head and a deep fear of lightning storms for years and I couldn't figure out why? I had a Past Life Regression and found out that I had been a 19 year old woman in Switzerland in the year 1876. I was walking though a meadow in the foothills of the Alps and I was killed by a lightning strike to my head. I was able to describe what I was wearing, how my hair looked and what my body looked like as I floated above it. I even spoke in a completely different voice when I was under too. I described going to the other side and being cradled in the arms of God. I was brought back to the present and the pain and fear of lightning storms is gone. Now when I hear a storm coming, it doesn't bother me at all. I look at Earth as a big classroom where we go to learn things to better our soul development and move closer to a higher plane of existence where we are closer to God. Everything we experience good and bad makes us stronger and better people. Have you ever noticed how a tragedy like an airplane crash has something positive come out of it, such as improved safety or how a young child's life can lead to something positive even after their death? There was a little boy here in Lexington named Jared Myneer who died of Leukemia. Before he passed, he came up with the idea of toy carts to distribute toys to other sick children at the University Of Kentucky Children's Hospital. He called it Jared's Joy Cart. The idea has spread to other hospitals across the country. It is a perfect example of how one life can impact the world. There is a book on the subject of Reincarnation called "Many Lives Many Masters". They have regressed people back to previous lives where they have described specific names and places and later investigators would find tombstones with the name of that person and even verified details about that person by talking to living relatives. They would find out things that no one else could possibly know but the person that lived that life and their family.
