I Know the Feeling...
I have 46 books from the Science Fiction Book Club sitting here unread in a storage bin that's way too heavy to pick up or move, plus two cases of closeout nonfiction: a few from Daedalus and Edmond R Hamilton but most of them from a couple of those vendors who take over a closed department store location for a few weeks and pile thousands of books on tables. I think that puts me 75 books behind, total.
There was always an urgency about closeouts: once they're gone, you figure you'll never have the chance to see them again. Not so true now with Amazon's network of used and closeout bookstores on the Web (and some of the alternatives), but that feeling dies hard, at least with me.

In my case...
it's writing 'em.

Read Two This Week
Two in the "Ink" series by Cornelia Funke. I can hardly believe these books have an editor.
Several times she has two characters speak in the same paragraph.
Puntuation sucks.
POV character changes whimsically.
"Had got" and worse.
I realize she wrote it in German, but the translation should use decent grammar.
Wonderful story, poorly told, bestseller and now major motion picture.

LOL - spoken like a..
... Serious author/editor. :-)
Some of the things I see in "dead tree" publications are really surprising - to me, but I guess not all editors are created equal. :-)
I finished a book and started another myself... I need SOMETHING to read when I'm not in front of my computer reading or writing. :-) LOL
