Yes, Casey has a choice

Casey keeps telling himself he doesn't have any choice becoming a Can-Can dances. Yes he does, and it requires him just saying no and meaning it. Then when the show is over, leave Miss Deane's dance studio.

That he would like to be one of the fairies is beside the point. What is on point if forcing a boy who is unprepared, to take the place of a girl in an all girl routine.

What will his parents, or guardian, think of him being in that routine? Will they think he was brave to step in or angry that he allowed himself to be bullies into the roll?

Others have feelings too.
