Personally, I will pay $200K to $400K more taxes if Biden gets his way than if Trump is re-elected.
I'm on Medicare and don't have a dog in the healthcare discussion.
My family dies in our early 80s so climate change is theoretically to me since I'm 72.
I'm a privileged white.
Other than Trump's asinine approach to trans versus Biden's huge helping hand when he was a VP, most of why I care is for someone I don't even know.
Yet, I got involved and donated a bunch of money.
Last night I found out quite a number of black voters voted for Trump because "they like his demeanor."
One woman whose mother-in-law was killed by covid voted for Trump and said it was God's will when someone dies.
Another woman voted for Trump because Biden is a pedophile. Trump could have debunked all this but he lied and said I don't know anything about QAnon.
It appears to me that Biden has won. . .but Trump will make everyone's life hell for the next few months.
If you have a cause -- don't bring your bucket around me.

you get it - the government says so - even if your income precludes social security.
Personally, I would have happily stayed with my old insurance that I paid for, but they dumped me as soon as I became "medicare eligible". It was less aggravation dealing with them when they (and all of them do from time to time) make a mistake, or my doctor made a mistake (gave me the second shot of two-shot series two week too early - NOT covered).

I've been on Medicare for a number of years and will not retire for at least three more years.
Further -- the majority of my taxes are paid on capital gains on the sale of my businesses. Capital gains are usually an early democrat target.

The republicans kept a majority in the senate, so they can stop any tax increases they don't like.
