As I was posting the latest chapter of Necessity I noticed chapter 11 appeared out of order. So for any of you who missed out on chapter 11 due to that, it has been corrected now and all chapters appear in order.
I apologize for the amount of time between postings. Between cut backs at work (where they expect the few left to do 3 times the work) and my youngest who believes the most important thing I should be doing is providing an accompanying instrument when she practices (which is almost anytime she is awake and not doing homework.) This is when I'm not going to concerts she is in with her Jr. High School band she was old enough to enter into this year, or the Mariachi band she has been playing in for the past 2 years.
She's become quite the little music prodigy, couple weeks ago entered a contest against high school students (she's only 12) and won highest awards with her flute, which she has only been playing around 6 months. And she has also gained a position in the youth symphony with her violin.

Some kids have it (i.e. instrumental skills)
My brother did, I didn't. Eventually my parents stopped pouring good money away on my piano lessons, while he continued with piano AND violin. He still plays both excellently, though his professional life meant that he only maintained them as a hobby. I sang moderately well though I could never sightread, and now have resumed choral singing in my dotage. Be happy with your daughter's ability, encourage it, but please make sure that she learns to balance it against other life skills.
