I'm still alive and well at 76 and still work 2 to 6 days a week, as needed. I always said I'd reconsider retirement at 75; now I say I'll reconsider at 80. I love to work, especially in health care, as I can make a real difference to my patients quality of life. I still laugh and sing every day; dance too, though a bit slower.

I did take a month off for a shoulder replacement. I still read voluminously here and elsewhere and I still write for my own amusement. Sandy Thomas was going to republish my first story, but in rewrite it got too long and and I felt the expanded story didn't fit Sandy's slightly 'fem-Dom' tilt. I have colourized some books and covers for Sandy. You can find many of these on Pinterest.

If any old friends wish to contact me, my email hasn't changed... or you can contact me here. Life is good: I pray yours is as well.

God bless us, everyone!!!

Your friend always, Ole

I'll close with a new thought: Only Twits Tweet. I know this by watching the news from 'The Twit in Chief...' (If this is too political, please delete. No hard feelings.)

Hey Ole,

Patricia Marie Allen's picture

It's good to hear from you. Like you, I'm getting up there. I retired at 72, after a year I got bored so I took a part-time job driving school bus. I'm in my second year at doing that. I'll admit there are days I question my sanity.

You could always repub your first story here since you went to the trouble to do a re-write.

Hugs
Patricia

That's a thought... it would have to be broken into chapters. Hmmm.

I took early retirement at 68 (My second) and was so bored that in 3 weeks I had a new job in a medical practise.

Always good to hear from an old friend. It's like winning the World Cup.

Yes it is, Joanne,

Better yet it's like wearing a lovely new dress, or increasing a cup size without gaining weight, or cuddling with a beautiful woman...

I'm so glad to hear from you!
