Yes, both of you...

A few of you know the last year and a half have been a challenge for me as my cataracts overcame my eyesight. Reading and writing became difficult if not impossible. I had the surgery in July. It has a 99% success rate but I was in the 1%.

On the 29th I had PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) also called ASA (Advanced Surface Ablation). For someone who loves to read and write this has been a real trial. I was warned of extreme pain and a slow recovery: Weeks, months, maybe a slow year.

The pain was much exaggerated: I had practically none. But, I suppose people vary in their pain tolerance. Anyway, I was glad to throw out all but 2 of the pain pills. What wasn't exaggerated was the slowness of recovery of sight clarity which seems to crawl; weeks to months they say and 2 steps forward and one back seems true. Even though my sight is slightly better than before surgery it's still double and blurry, and very light sensitive. I guess it's because they remove the surface of the Cornea.

I'm sure it will work out in God's good time. Eye drops every 2 hours are a nuisance!

I've missed talking to my few close friends here. but didn't want to go int details until I could be hopeful of seeing again. I've missed a lot of stories and conversations but at least though my sight is not clear there is hope it one day will be. If you were talking to me by email, I will be back there.

If you are a Facebook friend, it will be a bit longer. My screen time is limited for now.

Thanks for your understanding.

Your friend,

Ole
