I'd need more information as to the nature of the story, what the main character is like and is going to be doing in the story before I could volunteer, but I'm interested in finding out.

What exactly do you mean, by becoming the main character?
Like a personal POV from the characters POV.
Like thoughts, actions, justifications, pseudo-diary entries, back story like when making a character in an RPG, such as birthdates, locations, histories, geneology etc?
Or just a figure head?
