Sometimes things I'm not even looking for seem to come my way providing information. At times the info is relevant and other times just more mind clutter. This came up on google in an unrelated search. I guess I needed it to fill in more of the stories I had written???

Need to see if I can find the forth story to Jessica Rabbit and tie a ribbon on it. No it isn't completed but quite a bit of the story was done and lost in the great void on one of the computer's that went belly up. I purchased a docking station to run the HDs I've salvaged over thirty years. Just haven't dug into them.
Back to the reason for the blog. Vicki Dougan was shunned for the most part by Hollywood after she started wearing her backless dresses. Many of the starlets complained she was attracting more attention then themselves at publicity events and social affairs. Never good to upstage the leading actresses on stage or off.

I've Always Heard...
...that Jessica Rabbit was inspired by "Red", temptress of the Big Bad Wolf -- both characters appearing in various roles -- in wartime MGM cartoons by Fred (Tex) Avery. (The title card on Wikipedia shows that the original short, "Red Hot Riding Hood", gave the character a very different appearance, but some of the later ones matched up rather well.) Anyway, they were around for a decade before Vikki Dougan appeared, so she certainly wasn't Avery's prototype.
