What I did without thinking.

How I got to this place is strange. I was talking to a middle eastern man and had just sent him some text, but he did not understand it. So as I read it back to him, again, I began to underline a couple words. I quickly realized what I had done, and had to giggle at myself.

Well, then that reminded me about the blonde joke and...

Well, I know, on the inside I am blonde to the roots. :)

I HAVE seen marker on the screen

It really isn't TOOO big an issue, on a glass monitor, however on a laptop display, cleaning is not easy. I kinda figured you were joshing us with the white out bit, thus myrejoinder with the industrial strength whiteout.

You do know how to clear the screen don't you? Why you hold it face down and shake it... And if you want to save your work, put it on a shelf, but DON'T shake it!

Annette

Oh, Annette!

I do some computer support... I'm definitely going to use that "hold it face down and shake it" line.

If you truely did this...

The easiest way to remove white-out is alcohol and a razorblade. Being careful dip a paper towel in the alcohol and wipe the screen, use the blade to remove the now damp white out. Works every time

Um, If you give me time...

Maybe I can think of a good excuse.

My conversation with this Arab "hunk of Man" was so intense, I guess I forgot myself, no really. I sat there panting and talking that I really did underline the two words I was trying to teach him.

When it came to using the white out, I just "thought" about it, but I did not do it. Good heavens I was taken with him! So, no I came to my senses soon enough to avert disaster. :)

It depends on if it's a CRT or a flat screen

I would avoid sharp and abrasive materials on any screen.

I suspect, thougn my sisters is the only lap top I have much familarity with, their screens are more delicate. 70% to 9 % alcohol is okay though 90% attacked the pant in the plastic cover to my front media slots on my old Dell XPS.

The mildest cleaner first ALWAYS. Would you use sandpaper on your eyeglasses?

Good luck.

P.S. People who insist on touching your screen or, gulp, palcing Poat-It notes or cute stickers on the screen need to be shot, drawn, and quartered. Then I'd get nasty.

Only if it's a glass...

monitor. A laptop screen will NOT be happy with a razor blade in it's vicinity...

OMG

Stephen Colbert just totally gave you a shout out.
