Smart, tough, and sexy. Those are just a few of the words people would use to describe Ember, and not necessarily in that order. Then again, being a witch with a penchant for the kind of magic almost exclusive to dark, steamy nights soaked in lust, it's not hard to get them mixed up. Content would have been another choice word if you asked her. She had a successful apothecary that helped the people of her community and no shortage of lovers eagerly awaiting their chance to try and satisfy her. It was the kind of life that she was happy to live for a very long time. Too bad there were some who didn't feel the same way.
This is the beginning of a new series unlike any I've written before in that there is no transgender theme involved with this book... yet. I wanted BCTS to be one of the first places I put the word out about it here because I started seriously writing right here on this site and my books wouldn't be as successful as they are now without it and its members. I realize it's a bit different and perhaps offputting that this new book won't contain any transgender themes, but I hope that people here give it a chance because I think you might enjoy it and the subsequent books in the series.
Also, please note that image above will not be the book's cover. That image is done by a tremendous artist by the name of Anthony Guebels and is, of course, copyrighted material. I only used it here because, frankly, this image itself was the inspiration for the book and more specifically the lead character, so I thought it would be the most effective way to introduce her and the book to my readers.
Slow Burn will be available on Amazon on July 1st.

I'm looking forward to it very much
Your writing and story telling abilities are so good that I'm looking forward to the next book.
Reading at a slow burn.....
You are one author who is in a category of works that I always purchase sight unseen so I am sure this one will also join the others from your collections that I will buy in anticipation of enjoyment when I get back around to that part of my "Bookshelf" again.

Gah! Freakin' autocorrect. See, this is why we have editors.
Great.
I have read some of your other titles and am looking forward to this one with interest
PS even a witch with a penchant needs a pension
