*TRRRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNGGGG*
My hand swung out to shut up the alarm clock.
I could still feel the wind on my skin, smell the scents of the forest, taste his lips on mine. I kept my eyes clenched shut in order to retain those precious memories for just a few moments longer, but before I knew it the lingering feeling had escaped like mist between my fingers.
Slowly I lifted my hands up to my chest, already certain of the disappointment that was awaiting me. A single tear fell from my cheek as my cupped hands rested upon my flat chest.
Damnit.

Damnit! Very good Amber. I'm sure this has happened lots.
Damned clocks
They're either too fast, too slow or insensitive. No wonder they break so often - with a little help.

Neat little first BCTS entry. There are drabbles that manage to be a bit clever (CARS indeed!), but what impresses me are the ones like this, that can evoke an emotional reaction in so few words. Encore!
