All -

I've had a couple of folk inquiring about stories, and one kind soul asking if I'm okay.

Yes, I'm okay. Not as well as I'd like, but safely functioning.

Since the summer of 2012, I've been able to find work in the immediate vicinity of my house. I consider myself blessed for that, but the weeks have been well over the normal (for most full-time workers) 40 hours. It's challenging to cope with months of this heavy workload, though, even at my age, I'm enjoying learning more about my profession. (Electronic hardware, software, and systems engineering.)

It leaves little time and energy for writing and associated research.

I apologize for the huge delays in new work. I write as I can, as I am today.

My thanks to all who have expressed interest and concern. You brighten my day.

Love to you all,

Nicole Joy (a.k.a. Itinerant, "hey you!", etc.)

it is good to see you are alive and well.

But being over worked is never fun, god I remember when I was work 2 jobs about 10 years ago I was putting in about 80 hrs a week at times between both jobs, even with how much better the was money wise, I will not do it again if I can avoid it. My brain started turning to mush.

Heck I need a relaxing vacation again if only I could get a working vacation to Hawaii for 2 weeks again ;_;
I may have been working but I spent almost every day not sleeping in the company rented house slumbering from the waves putting me asleep coming into the beach. I need to find a decent paying job in Hawaii so badly.

"Cortana is watching you!"
