Well if we are lucky come Monday Morning all anyone around the water cooler will be talking about will be Game of Thrones, because the new season airs Sunday night.
I will welcome the break from everything else, sadly it will only last for 6-7 weeks then the season ends and it will meter out from there, since speculation for the final season will have to wait for next year.

The Grumpy side of me would not care expecially as I very rarely watch TV shows at the time they are broadcast. The exception at the moment is the TdF but mostly, I record anything I want to watch and then watch it at a time I want rather than when the channels want by that is just my ornery nature.
No HBO
Game of Thrones is on HBO. Since we don't have cable, only over-the-air channels, we also don't have HBO. So I wouldn't be able to discuss it around the water cooler. Of course, since I retired over 3 1/2 years ago, I don't have discussions around the water cooler about anything with anyone.
I would not have it either if...
My family has a business that sell DiecTV to Commercial entities, as part of all the other things we do for them with Video and Audio work.
But only watch a little of it every so often now, more often than not I will Stream movies and TV with Netflix, or Amazon Prime.
But I know all the entertainment sites are already warming up on GOT and I welcome it instead of some of the other discussions that happened.
I just don't see anything on local TV much anymore that is worth the Brain Cells it cost to watch it. The shows they are showing most now catering to the lowest denominator and the producers of the shows flat out say it is that way. Discovery Channel, History Channel, etc... are not even informative TV anymore, they show nothing but reality TV got I miss showes like modern marvels and the documentaries all use to do.
