This list grabbed my attention. I'd just watched Sophia Loren (and Clark Gable) on TCM and wondered where on the list she placed. The shocking answer was, "No where." http://www.rediff.com/getahead/slide-show/slide-show-1-glamo...
These would be my top fifteen:
15.) Sophia Vergara
14.) Farrah Fawcett
13.) Lauren Bacall
12.) Angelina Jolie
11.) Raquel Welch
10.) Scarlett Johansson
9.) Salma Hayak (Sexiest AAAA actress)
8.) Jane Russell
7.) Ann-Margret (Strictly for opening number of Bye Bye Birdie)
6.) Rita Hayworth
5.) Beyonce (Not so much in her size 2 configuration, but a little heavier)
4.) Jennifer Lopez
3.) Elizabeth Taylor
2.) Sophia Loren
1.) Marilyn Monroe (Who supposedly was a size 12 - 16)
What are your thoughts?

It's a silly list
All time? Where is Cleopatra? Its really 20th century and later.
I would argue for Bettie Page being on the list. I think she also had the biggest impact on pop culture. Sadly she didn't even know it for decades. Absolute perfect hourglass figure. Even if you don't know it you've seen her or art/images based on her look.

Interesting
I wonder if she was the inspiration for the silhouette on mud flaps.

Bettie Page not just mudflaps
Today, she's everywhere. Postcards, posters, playing cards, calendars, lunch boxes, beach towels, fridge magnets, rum labels, mud flaps, and hundreds of websites pay tribute. There's a Zombie Bettie Page subculture with online portals devoted to undead variations of her images. On Halloween, the town of Roswell, Ga., even hosted a Bombshell Bettie'z Zombie Pin-Up Contest.

Misguided
I viewed the link, and was actually APPALLED by what they actually found "sexy" (read fake boobs and over-inflated egos). In what warped universe does Brittney Spears rank #4 overall? Only 2 1/2 of their choices would even merit my consideration (I'm a little ambivalent about J-Lo), and those based on WHO they are, as PEOPLE, not WHAT they are. Lauren Bacall, Sophia Loren, Marilyn, Raquel, Farrah all made my list, as did Jackie O and Gina Lollobrigida. One surprise, though: Tina Louise, AKA "Ginger" on Gilligan's Island. Jennifer Aniston is a MUST HAVE for any list -- the way she handles herself, even through all the adversity she's been through. And we all know that there's not an actress nearly as graceful as Susan Lucci.

Ginger floated my S. S. Minnow.

If Ginger (deservedly) makes the list,
then we MUST list another television babe from that time - Barbara Eden (from "I Dream of Genie/Jeannie")!
Sighs are the natural language of the heart.

Annette Funicello
TV sweethearts have to include Annette, Donna Douglas, Eva Gabor, Gale Storm, the five girls who played the daughters on Petticoat Junction, oh, jeez, the list gets long. :) Mary Tyler Moore!

Linda Carter was my first "I wanna look like her" woman
along with Lindsey Wagner (from the Bionic Woman). Madeline Kahn (from Blazing Saddles), Bernadette Peters, Cher, Stevie Nicks, Valerie Bertinelli, Jan Smithers, and probably lots I have forgotten. Oh, and Princess from Battle of the planets.

In no particular order, I've admired these:
Racquel Welch, Marilyn Monroe, Ann-Margret, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, Jane Russell, Liz Taylor, Angie Dickenson, Rita Hayworth, Lana Turner, Susan Hayward, Natalie Wood and Salma Hayak.

Actually though the title said that
The list was compiled from FHM magazine's last two decades so in reality the choices were from 1997-2017. And like any list it depends on the voters ages. It's just like the lists of the greatest movies of all time. If done by movie critics you get a sweeping list but if done by movie patrons the list is dominated by the most recent films.

I'll have to echo Erin on this...
Overall, I'd scratch a few from the list and add (in no particular order):
Cher
Cyd Charisse
Mae West
Marlee Matlin
Lily Tomlin
Don't Forget
Lucy Lu and Xena The Warrior Princess. As far as I am concern Linda Carter will always be The Wonder Woman. Oh, one more person I failed to mention. Daisy Duke from The Dukes of Hazard the TV series, not the movies. All tho the second girl to play Daisy Duke did do her justice.

Sexiest?
As a teenager, when she and Bogart fell in love with her, no one was sexier than Loren Bacall ! I have her and Marilyn Monroe tied for number one
Selma Hayak? How about Maureen O'Hara, and Grace Kelly? Joey Heatherton, Anne Francis,Gina Lollobrigida, and Tony Curtis. ^J^
Karen
The Quiet Man
Maureen O'Hara was amazing as Mary Kate Danaher.

Hmm
Thinking about this from a BigCloset perspective, I'm going to suggest a different list. Anyone want to add to this one? (No particular order, just the order I type them in.)
Marilyn Monroe
Jayne Mansfield
Eartha Kitt
Julie Newmar
Raquel Welch
Julie Andrews
Debbie Reynolds
Ellen Barkin
Lauren Bacall
Jaye Davidson
Lee Pace
ZsaZsa Gabor
Felicity Huffman
Mae West
Calpernia Addams
That's fifteen. Anyone have names to add to THIS list? :)

Like your list
Your list is more in keeping with what I consider sexy in a woman. Sophia Loren and Lauren Bacall would certainly top my list.

Barbara Bach is referred to
Barbara Bach is referred to as Daisy Duke in a previous post.
Both beautiful Bachs but two
Both beautiful Bachs but two different actresses. Catherine was Daisy Duke, Barbara was a "Bond Girl"

All have fabulous bodies...
But how can you put one above another? I'd guess that most of us would want to have the bodies (in one sense or another) of any one of them.
I fall in love with the wonderful characters they play, rather than the scheming bitches which many of them were/are. (Why do so many have multiple divorces?) Living with them must be hell.
But my vote goes to the one who knocks on my door in five minutes time and tells me she urgently needs somewhere to stay. And if she wants me to wear her clothes as well, that really would be heaven. Sounds like the start of my next story...

sexy laidies
Some women are sexy by body some by attitude just a few more for the list to be considered Yvonne DeCarlo, Pat Priest, Barbara Eden, Elizabeth Montgomery, Dawn Wells, Carolyn Jones and there are many others that I don't know about so many choices so small a list. Well now that I have added to the confusion. Have a good day and enjoy life.

Not impressed
I'm not impressed with the pictures FHM used. Apparently, FHM thinks to be sexy a woman has to show a lot of skin, often to the point of being immodest. For me sexy has a lot more to it than nearly flashing boobs or the need of a Brazilian to keep from showing pubic hair.
Not only that, I'm so far out of it, that a lot of the women on their list, and yours, are names I don't even recognize. however, I'm with you, Sophia Loren ought to be near the top of any such list.

Missed my chance
A friend of mine is a photographer (and a teacher at my college) and he had an assignment to photograph Sophia when she was performing at a casino at Niagara Falls. I begged to go as his assistant, but was unable to convince him that he needed me. It is to his credit that he was able to get photos that impressed an 80 year old woman who was the most beautiful woman in the world 50 years ago.

no Helen of Troy
Because a woman who's beauty is measured in military might must be hella beautiful
I must say that I'm kind of appalled!
That no one has yet to mention "Pretty Woman" aka Julia Roberts! But then again I have a biased opinion! Loving hugs Talia
Julia Roberts
Often included on these lists.
