It's a lonely world out there searching for answers everyone else tries to give when they have no idea what transgender is or means because they never had those emotions of being one.

Hannah Is a Girl. Doctors Finally Treat Her Like One.
In a 2002 manual for the treatment of “gender identity disorder in young boys.” The manual recommends a range of behavioral interventions to force-fit a child into traditional gender roles. They include keeping the child away from typically feminine activities like gymnastics, scheduling more play dates with boys and encouraging “letting go” of the boy by the mother. The hope was that early treatment would “diminish the risk of a continuation of gender identity disorder into adulthood” — in other words, make children stop being transgender. Transgender youth during this time suffered high rates of depression and anxiety. By young adulthood, nearly half had attempted suicide.

Thank God some medical professionals and other professionals are finally getting a grip on the idea trans is NOT something the person has control of. It can't be turned on or off like a light switch. It JUST IS!

On a side note
Way back in the dark ages when there wasn't any traffic besides me, my normal cruising speed was way over 100mph. I had a good car, good tires and knew the roads. That was then. Coming back from Amarillo two weeks ago. I was on the speed limit of 75, a truck passed. I had a good look at the truck when it went by. Nothing new about it. The trailer had a faded sign on it.So I had a front door. I picked it up..., and up...., and up. I was hanging about a half mile behind. If Smokey stopped him I would be too far back to be a part of the stop. He was cruising somewhere between 95 and 100.

We passed the Texas rest stop where one or two Texas bears usually hang and he never slowed. We blew into Oklahoma without ever giving any consideration to the 70 limit. All this time I'm thinking the guy is busy on the radio checking ahead for bear. What changed my mind and made me think of Snowfall's Phantom Truckers was when he blew by the Oklahoma weigh station without ever slowing. Even if they have a truck monitor in the cab giving them clearance, everyone slows for the weigh stations which always has two or three bear waiting on truckers trying to get by. Not this guy! He had to slow for the one lane construction at Erick but when he got through that and out of the traffic jam he was gone. I didn't try and keep up any longer. By the time I got through he was out of sight. Oh one other thing. It might have looked old but that truck had heavy duty bars across the front. Won't ever convince me it wasn't one of Snowfall's Phantoms.

Have fun with life, it's too short to take seriously

Speeding Trucks?

Nothing new there.
Back when it was 55mph everywhere, I was riding my Motorcycle from Oldbridge, NJ to Hamilton, Ont overnight.
Near Binghampton I was overtaken by a convoy of Semi's doing well over 75mph. I got in the slipstream for around 10 miles with my throttle just cracked open. There were 20+ trucks in the convoy. Good luck to any Polis who'd even thought of trying to stop that lot.
This was summer '77. I'd flown my Bike over to Toronto with the Vincent Owners Club. I was riding a '69 Bonnieville.
I was stopped about a week earlier by a rookie cop close to the Cumberland Gap. He wrote me a ticket for not having state tags on my numberplate. Trying to explain that the bike was registered in a different country held no water at all. It takes all sorts does it not....

Behavioural correction

Let me start with saying that correction of behaviour is just plain wrong, that said let's take a little side trip an have a hypothetical musing about it being the right thing to do.

Then they're still wrong. I mean gymnastics should be discouraged, really? Have they seen the guys who participate in gymnastics? Might aswell be bodybuilding. Not to mention male and female gymnastics are two completely different things. Female gymnastics is all about grace, while male gymnastics is all about power, if anything these quacks should be encouraging gymnastics if they really think that correcting the interests of these children works. Guess that just shows you that bigots don't look farther than their nose is long.

CB Radio and truckers

I'm one of those who still has a CB radio in my vehicle. There is very little chatter on the radio anymore. Satellite radio and cell phones are taking the place of talking to other trucks on the CB. And Waze is filling the niche for traffic reports. The top Wazers in my state all seem to be truckers though I'm not doing too bad at number 8092. I'm wondering if GMRS and FRS will take the place of CB but I haven't seen any indication of that happening yet.

Say WHAT?

Lori, I have absolutely no idea what you just said. Was that English? I need a translator to converse with you. The only thing I understood in that whole dialog was CB. Yep I got one of them. I thread the white lines as Tear Drop. I haven't fired up the ham radio since I got a license. I don't have a base, only a hand held radio good for 5 miles line of sight. The license was kind of a challenge from a friend. She told me I could never pass it the first try. Should have made dinner the bet.

Life is meant to be lived, not worn until it's worn out.

Translation

I was just saying that truckers are not using CB as much anymore. There is an app called Waze that provides real time traffic info and even reports of traffic police. You get points for miles driven and reports you make. The top users all seem to be truckers. Waze is replacing CB radio since the info is available longer and to more people. The points you earn are just a status thing. You don't get prizes.
