So after putting Broken Phoenix on the back burner for a while I felt like I needed a new story to post on this site.
Well I'm going a bit out of my comfort zone with this story and this is why I need your guys help.
Just to put things into perspective I'm writing this based on another story on this site but The original character this story is based off is like 6 years older than the character in the story I plan to write.
Basically my challenge is to write this story with the idea that the kid already had curiousity's of being Intersexed(This is where it gets complicated on my end). However the kid is quiet and likes to keep to themselves but ends up befriending the girly girl of the class by accident and ends up showing their butterfly inside themselves.
Now this is where you guys come in. I have never written a story with an Intersexed character(before you say I did with Broken Phoenix I goofed up that part of the story and when I get back to that story I'm re-writing that section) I know nothing about what Undiagnosed Intersexed children go through at a young age. Also I barely know what it even means to "be" Intersexed.
If you guys could give me a hand on this I'd appreciate it.

Intersexed
I had the same problem about a decade ago. I read about ten books on the topic and scoured the internet looking for information. Much of what I read conflicted.
If you would like to read the story that came from this it's called Ma Cherie Amour and is in Hatbox.
The best source of topical information seemed to be this site http://www.isna.org/
Good luck.

Many Forms of Intersex
Good luck in getting information from ISNA because they are fairly closed off, mainly to be self protective.
I am XXY Non-Kleinfelter, which can manifest in several different ways. Physically for me it means that I look like a straight sided, not curvy woman. Another good source for people like me is Wiki. I always felt female but was unable to express that until almost 50 years old. Interestingly, as you might suspect, if your nature is female, you can't just shut that off. In these latter years, looking back it is clear that suppressing my female nature was not that successful.
And there are thousands of different Intersex conditions, some more obvious than others.
I hope that you have a good time writing your story.
Gwen
Let me be the first to say...
That Gwen does not present herself as anything other than female.
Sorry Gwen but your 'episode' in the heat on the coast proves that point beyond doubt.(not that I had any even before that incident)

Intersexed
Another term for intersexed is disorders of sexual development. An overview is available at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disorders_of_sex_development, but it doesn't tell what it would be like to grow up with one of these conditions. Some, such as CAIS, aren't often discovered until puberty, while many others are evident at birth. There probably are some autobiographies of people who are intersexed available, but how do you find them?
