From the Huffington Post. I love this story, nothing like a bit of schadenfreude to cheer us all up.

typical
Typical. When these so-called devout people take a hit, the first thing they do is circle their wagons redirect the backlash. The FLDS was very quick to blame the membership 'for not having stronger faith' when flooding slammed their area not long ago.
The bad part is, an evangelist like him won't be using his own money to rebuild his house or replace his family's belongings. Those funds will come from 'donations'. All without being taxed, too. Nothing but con-artists. Keep in mind that is MY opinion, so it doesn't count. I have no problem with anyone having a spiritual belief. Good luck with that, I say. I do have an intense hatred for organized religion, I've seen how warped it can get. There's been many examples of late as well. If you've watched the news, you've seen some of them.

I notice this blog hasn't been taken down
but it has disappeared off the list on the front page, though I don't know why. It's only criticizing bigots and the note in the link from the transgender person is far more conciliatory than I'd be to the creep. Ho hum...

Convenient Logic
I've noticed this line of reasoning before:
When natural disasters hit "them" it's God punishing them for their horrible wickedness.
When natural disasters hit "us" it's because God is testing us, to make us better people.
How can Mr. Perkins be so sure that it isn't the other way around???
The most ironic thing about this for me is that his name is Tony Perkins.
I can always picture him dressing up in his mother's clothes
and stabbing Janet Leigh to death in the shower.
Which come to think of it is probably not too far off...

They were going to live in an actual trailer rather than a luxury mobile home. That really would be some justice!
