Well just to prove i'm not just a Cav Fangirl - congratulations Steve Cummings and Simon Yates - Simon for taking the white jersey despite the altercation with Tour signage and Steve for winning stage 7.
Yes, more Brit success, that's 4/7 and he rides for Cav's team too!
So come on Sky you slackers, time to take up the reigns!

As Froome has taken yellow
I suspect he might have heard you. What's that 5/8 stages to the Brits.
Angharad
yes
And I did the rider second on GC a disservice earlier, it's Adam not Simon!
I mean, how is this possible, 1+2 on GC, 5 stage wins by 3 different riders, 2 different maillot Jaune wearers, U23 leader, Cav's elevation in the stage winning business and we are only 8 stages in. This is more impressive than 2012 for our tiny nation! Oh - and we only have 8 riders in the event.
Talk about exciting stuff!

Froome's different riding style
during that decent was unbelievable.
Well to Chris.
Quintana and BMC were caught napping.
Lets see what tomorrow brings. Another mega stage. Cav's comments about hating the Pyrenees is probably echoed by at least 50% of the field.
but only by 23 seconds.
Froome did a fantastic and terrifying descent to take the Maillot Jaune. He was clocking 85 kph at times and in a riding position that didn't exactly go for either comfort or control - 50kph descending on our better handling and braked tandem is more than my partner will allow (I have the computer, she has the Garmin!) :)
However there are several riders within a minute and I still think Quintana is marginally the favourite to be in yellow on the Champs. Last year he lost time in the first week's crosswinds which effectively lost him the race and he still put a lot of pressure on the Sky rider on the Alpe. Lets hope not.
I feel sorry for Adam Yates who had the inflated Flame Rouge fall on him and caused him to crash. I saw the video broadcast today on Eurosport and there was nothing he could do. However, his injuries don't seem to be too serious fortunately

Quintana
Is however on the back foot now, Sky have thrown down the gauntlet and it's up to Movistar et al to attack, Tours have been lost with smaller margins and we haven't had Froome's speciality TT yet!
How about I throw in Adam Yates as a wildcard winner - apart from being hit by the fixtures he's barely mentioned but it's him that sits in second place not the Columbian.
It's clear why so few Brits were selected to ride - no one wanted a one nation race!

Brits in France
5 out of 8 plus three of the jerseys!
It could be quite interesting next week!
Can the Brits keep a firm grip on the reins?
And will CF reign at the end?

Cav
When I saw "Cav Fangirl" I was wondering when you started following NBA basketball. The Cavs won the championship this year. ;-)
I went outside once. The graphics weren' that great.
We're not talking about
some obscure, regional sport, this is Le Tour, the greatest annual sporting event in the world.
