Well, as I expected, skype is weird today. Why did I expect things to happen to skype? Because Microcrap owns it now and has for awhile.
Now for a lot of you, you don't even use skype, this is no big deal. For me and those like me who depend on skype for outgoing calls and for conversations, it IS a big deal.
So... if you have been trying to call me, or have been trying to call out on skype... well, I guess we just have to wait until whatever "glitch" is happening gets solved by the "brains" in charge of the hardware or software and they figure out what the hell is going wrong with it.
Guess I've just become too dependant on the internet and it's uses.

In the 90's Microsoft was quite friendly and helpful. Now, who knows what they are up to? Their Win 10 software is strange. I've got Win 7 and they've been after me to convert to 10, even offering it free, but when I start to download it, the download fails. Rather than honestly just saying that my Hardware is too old, they simply say nothing. But, they keep saying it is free. Then I was approached by an Indian fellow who offered to fix it all for me for a price. This software business is starting to feel more like a Middle Eastern Sook than a registered business.

I did, I put Mandrake Linux 6.1 on my computer.
since then, I have never run windows, why downgrade os?

I have it on good authority that the problems with Skype are the start of WWIV. (III was cancelled for lack of interest; nobody showed up.)
