Well, once again, skype is playing f# %king games. Now it's telling me that I have been signed out and cannot connect to the server. Apparently the workaround I found on the Apple forums was only good for a few more weeks of using the older, more user friendly, simpler version of skype doesn't agree with their new version, which my computer won't run!
My only alternatives are: Upgrade my OS so I CAN use the newer version of skype, which sucks moose rocks, btw, or demand a refund of my skype subscription which i just renewed in June. May I say, as this point I am so pissed off at skype in general that I am very tempted to tell them exactly which orifice they can stick their new version into?
I think the thing I hate the MOST out of all of this nonsense is the feeling that skype is actually BULLYING users into using their new version by locking out all the older versions. I have fought long and hard to NOT be bullied by ANYONE, and it sticks in my craw that I may have no choice but to give in to their demands this time!
GOD! I HATE this shit!!! Why the hell can't these people just let sleeping dogs lie?
TO all those with whom I usually talk on skype, I am unable to get on and may not ever BE back on. PMs here or emails will have to suffice until I can either afford to upgrade my OS on my MacBook, or I can find another VOIP service that will work on my machine.

VIBER got good reviews from several people who begged me to join. I use skype already and viber is too social netty for my liking

Afford to upgrade the OS on your Macbook?
how old is your Macbook? My 2009 Macbook runs Mavericks very well. And the upgrade was free. Apple no longer charge for OSX upgrades as of Mavericks.
Unless you MacBook can't run the previous version of OSX, you should be able to upgrade for no cost to you other than time and download bandwidth.
