Cinco de Mayo

All new, just for you, this Cinco de Mayo!

I tried a Flamenco dress, but could not get it right. So I opted for a semi-traditional Mexican outfit, though this one is not floor length. I wanted to show off his cross-gartered shoes! teehee ^^;; And, Chris is sporting a nifty new ponytail, too!

I've never celebrated Cinco de Mayo. I am not of Mexican descent, nor do I use the holiday as a reason to drink tequila or cerveza until the worms in the bottle start talking to me.

The traditional costuming worn in Mexico would be wonderful to try, though. I love the flowing skirts, the fluffy ruffles, the bright colors ...

So, here is my hope for a safe and happy Cinco de Mayo for you all.

Cute!

I love the ponytail, it's so cute! Did Chrissy's 'fashion consultants' get him some extensions? That would be so cool! And he looks so happy in this picture!

Okay, Angela R says I overuse exclamation points. But this pic just brings them out, Chrissy looks so darling! I don't think red is his color though, he'd look better with a white blouse maybe.

I think you explained this, but...

I am old and suffering from a horrible case of CRS (can't remember stuff).

Why is Chrissy smiling in some of the more recent postings and really unhappy in some of the others?

Really cute by the way, and a real day brightener. Please keep them coming!

Just As Well...

Flamenco dance/music/costume is native to Spain rather than Mexico. So this is a better choice.

(The Spanish didn't have anything to do with Cinco de Mayo -- it commemorates a Mexican victory over French invaders under Napoleon III in 1862, long after independence from Spain.)

This is such a clever work. I sympathize with your problem with creating that dress. The one you used though worked well and unless you said something, no one would know. Originally, I thought you would post one or two. They are so clever, and so detailed, I thought you would need weeks to get even one prepared. It seems, though, that you have a few prepared in reserve. They help brighten the day even if he is not always happy.
Thank you for all your efforts. Early June

I have a suggestion for May and June :-)

Here are 3 suggestions for May and June - Hope you'll like them...

1) A Civil War era dress (to celebrate Memorial Day.) Not sure if you are from the USA, but it would be nice.

2) For June -- (Traditionally the month of WEDDINGS) have Chris in a wedding dress! :)

3) For June -- to celebrate SUMMER a bikini?
