I'm posting this here, because I think that readers who might otherwise enjoy a particular story are skipping over it because they're making certain assumptions about it that miss an important point.

Julie 0's latest story, "Change of Venue" (click here to read), explores the essential nature of what makes a person. Call it "soul" or "personality" or whatever.

Nominally a magic body-swap story, Julie's story goes much further in examining the issue of personal essence than any other story of this genre that I've read. I think it makes a great conversation starter on the whole subject of character-survival vs. character-death, or in this case, character-theft.

I really found myself liking this story, not only for its spirit of survival, but for the growth and perfection of the protagonist.
