On june 8th the channel ABCFamily will premier a new titled Becoming Us. I think it will be a very good show. It is either reality or semi-reality. I look forward to seeing what happens.

Another new one coming out on Netflix is Sense8 which will premiere on June 5th. Sci-fi show about 8 people that are mentally linked. From Wikipedia:

Sense8 (a play on the word sensate /ˈsɛnseɪt/, meaning aware[5]) is an upcoming American science fiction drama web television series created, written and executive-produced[6] by The Matrix trilogy creators Andy and Lana Wachowski and Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski.[7] A first season consisting of 12 episodes has been produced and will become available for streaming on Netflix on June 5, 2015.[8] The Wachowskis are responsible for the direction of the biggest part of the show,[9] with the rest of it being handled by a number of people they have collaborated with in the past, including Cloud Atlas co-director Tom Tykwer.[4] Meanwhile this is the first series produced under the banner of Straczynski's Studio JMS.[7] The plot revolves around eight strangers from different parts of the world who suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked and it is set to explore subjects that its writers felt science fiction shows tend to ignore[10] or skim through[8] such as politics, identity, sexuality, gender and religion.[8][11]

It should be interesting to see how the show's execs handle it. By the way, Jamie Clayton is a transgendered actress and model

those both sound very interesting. I've been watching a little bit of Transparent on Amazon, but don't have as much time for viewing as I wish!

Unfortunately, some are labeling it a "Reality Show", which is not a label ABC is NOT actual using to promote it. It supposedly however unscripted real and set in the real world following real people. They are calling it a docudrama.

"Reality Show" has come to mean create a fake contrived situation and watch the fun as people react to it. I have already seen some put downs for the show not because it deals with Trans Issues, but because it is another "Fake Bull____ Reality Show"

Isn't the use of language sometimes interesting?

PS. Of course there are also all the usual Anti & Pro Trans comments, heavy on the Anti.

PPS. ABC is ruining a lot of ad spots for it.
