So I have had my MRI and while I did tear the hamstring, it isn't bad. I'm off of work for at least a month from yesterday. I'll try and get to writing while I have free time.

Not sure how the doc put it but it was a tear, but the muscle didn't retract. So some leg therapy and I'll be good to go

no such thing as just a tear.

I "tore" the tendons just below my knees, that was what caused me to need braces for years, made it so I can't run, ski downhill, even riding a bike is problematical from the knees. ( my lung diseases have made any activity that involves rapid motion completely off limits, I can't breathe out against the force of the wind )

it sounds minor, but torn muscles can become serious limitations on your ability to move for a long time.

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.

But its not like I was running before this. Heck, I hated to watch people jogging. But I hear ya. And I doubt it will end fast, but as long as I can return to work soon that's all I need.

Tears suck

When I was 8 I was jumping on a neighbors trampoline with them and my cousin. It was one of the larger ones so 3 of us on it didn't cause much of a problem. Well after a while it got to where they were pretty much synched in their jumps but I was out of synch. I ended up coming down and spraining my ankle really bad as the trampoline was snapping back into place from their last bounce. Long story short My ankle swelled up to the size of a large grapefruit and it ended up that I had torn the tendons and ligaments in my ankle which put me in a cast for quite a while then an aircast brace thing for about the same length of time I was in the cast. I was lucky not to need rehab or anything but I had black marks on foot and leg that lasted like a month and a have or more i cant remember exact time frame as it was a long time ago. But now my ankle is prone to twists and sprains at the drop of a hat

Bekah

Glad to hear

Thank you for telling us the good news.

Keep in mind, I know a lot of people that had knee and ankle surgeries. And the only times they had problems was when the accidentally pushed them to far, without realizes. Such as, don't go up a flight of stairs, and to go outside, to the postbox, to get some mail. Have you family to do that. Or, at least use a four pronged cane, if you have to do it yourself. The main thing is to take it easy for the next little while, and to do the rehabilitation therapy, that will help.

Anyway, good luck in getting well.
