Sad about Joey, but at least little Emmy is so cute and loving and Liam oh wow what a revelation!!!

I know who I am, I am me, and I like me ^^
Transgender, Gamer, Little, Princess, Therian and proud :D

I thought that would be a good surprise :)

I decided I needed another magic character a little while ago, and Liam seemed like a good choice, plus it made for a neat scene to help Amber deal with her emotions. ;) The Emmy character came out of nowhere as I wrote the scene, but I'm glad my muse latched onto her (originally, I planned for only Liam to come to her aid). I like her. Too bad I had to put Joey in like that. So many TG people have issues with family members, that it just seemed more "real" for at least one of them not to accept her. :(

New story arc begins next chapter, ;) but also a bit more of the family coming up too.

I wonder...does Liam explain why Taylor chose his brother ?

Did Amber as a man also have a potential for magic and Taylor in her magic tainted mind reacted to this thus her choosing him as her victim?

Or just unfortunate to be the teacher of Taylor and her supposed rival she wished to frame?

I still feel bad for Amber.

She has some closure and in some ways has benefited from her transformation.

But still he lost HIS life, love, profession and is still under several magical compulsions/prohibitions.

BTW did Taylor’s dad remove his infertility spell?

IE can she have children? BTW THAT IE future children of Amber, is another mark against the Calvins. Was he supposed to father children? Children that now will never be born.

Plus now children will or may be born who would never have existed except for his forced transformation.
Has fate been altered or is there a prophesy here?

In any case he and Amber both do not have free will. He is no more and she has been forced to accept womanhood with several BIG restrictions.

If not for Sarah she would be up shit's creek with no ID or educational records nor any assets. This assumes Sarah really IS an independent *agent* now and not still actually working for Mr. Calvin or Taylor suspiciously.

And will Tayler and co ever interact with Amber again?

The story titles keep referring to redemption but Amber NEVER needed that. He/she is an innocent.

She has always been the pawn of Taylor and Mr. Calvin. Only by degree, imperfectly, reluctantly have these two ever compensated her or made amends to her and the child they forced her to bear then so callously killed just before she would have been born.

Great theories

Hey, John. Great insights and questions as always. A few I can answer, too.

Evan/Amber was always a seeker. It is something one is born with, but it doesn't manifest until some point in the seeker's life.

Don Calvin did not remove her infertility. She still has it.

I generally like my readers to form their own opinions when it comes to fate, prophesy, redemption and other lofty ideas, so I won't offer my own, but I will emphasize some of the characters' beliefs. Both Mr. Calvin (as explained in 'Gravity') and Amber (as she just told Emmy) don't believe in coincidence anymore, and believe she was meant to become who she is now by the universe/fate/whatever. And as she told Liam, she doesn't want to change back, so I figure this one of the turning points in her transformation. She prefers her new life to her old life, at least now that she is out of the Calvin house and with Kevin.

You're right. Amber probably does not need redemption, though some mythologies hold mortals responsible for their actions whether intentional or not. Some gods may hold her responsible for the deaths of Wu Lok's acolytes, some of whom were also duped and innocent.

But Amber is generally the redeemer, who aids the redemption of others, not the one needing redemption. So far, she has tried to redeem Taylor, Courtney, and Don. She believes she succeeded with Courtney (one down, two to go?), but Taylor hasn't shown much sign of wanting to reform, and the mental state of Mr. Calvin is uncertain at the moment.

Personally, I feel Visnau and Wu Lok could use some justice, rehabilitation, or redemption, but as archons, the latter two may be impossible by their very nature.

As for whether Sarah is acting independently and if any of the Calvins will come back into the story, you'll have to wait and see, but I will tell you what I told another reader: Amber is still wrapped up the Calvin's world more than she knows, and some of the mysteries left to reveal in this story are ones you posed in your comment.

Thanks for all the great theories.

Nice answers, I realize you can't answer them all and not now

If she remains infertile that is another VERY black mark against the Calvins.

Bad enough they nearly ruined poor Brooke by turning him into a sperm sucking clone of her. Then Taylor turned him AGAIN into a young woman and made her into a cum addicted thing for her amusement and abuse. This gets Amber pregnant, which her dad would not let her abort, then kept her as a cum addicted prisoner until Taylor accidently killed the baby.

After all that abuse they kept her a semi prisoner, compelled by various magic’s. Completely in violation of Mr. Calvin’s word HE could go free after she gave birth.

So the man lost everything and Amber has only gained back a magical birthright HE had but did not know of. Except for any of the money, degrees and properties Sarah has given Amber that are in excess of what he had she has received little in real compensation beyond the partial restoration of what HE lost

Gosh golly they “graciously” – I’m being facetious here -- let him go after the terrible fight between archerons and both Calvin's YET Amber is not even given the right to possibly give birth to a child. Something she dearly wanted as her pregnancy neared term.

I assume she will have to break those magical bindings herself or maybe with her brother’s newly discovered talents. This assumes Taylor and co don’t interfere.

Will there ever be justice/karmic or other, for Amber, for Brooke, for the imprisoned Acherons our authoress mentioned in her comments?

When if ever will Taylor and Mr Calvin pay or make restitution for their arrogance?

So many possibilities here. Have fun
