It isn't ingrates. We have people passing judgment on books without even reading it. I called out one of these people. Here and here I offered to refund the purchase price of my ebook if he could answer two questions to prove he or she purchased it. Guess what-

Personally I see this as an extension of the sickness of "everyone gets a trophy" that snaked its way into our society.....You are showing the same thing here, just because you wrote a story or stories does not mean you deserve praise. You are charging almost $3.00 for a very short story. That is crap, that alone makes your story crap.......We need TG authors, do not stop writing, but , toughen up and write great stories of a good length like the The Professor, Julia Manchester, O2BXX and others, then charge almost $3.00 and you will make much money, I will give you money for it.

The fool and liar didn't read the story. He can however call it crap and pass judgment and had the temerity to tell me to stop. I've been complaining of this type of treatment for ages but I get labelled the bad guy. This community has too many of this type or the ones who just want your work for free without ever thanking you. Somehow another fool thinks I've stopped contributing even though I still have stories posted at FM. I stopped posting stories for free here when I finally had enough of the complaints and excuses.

I don't get why this is a BC issue/problem. Why complain here about something that is happening on FM? This is the second blog about your unhappiness over someone at FM. No one here is getting on your case about selling stories. If someone on here attacked you for posting about a book on Amazon, we would get rid of the offending post.
I guess I understand why you stopped posting free stories three years ago, but I don't understand why you bring it up again. No one here is demanding you resume posting free stories instead of Kindle.

We all have the occasional need to do that.

This is BC not FM
Not to mention the third blog about the same thing. My point being, that none of it is happening on here. We can't fix it and wouldn't allow it on this site anyways. I don't think its a secret that the clientele of FM and BC aren't quite the same. There is overlap of course, and I look on there myself to see what's new. I don't bother with the message boards there. BC is a community as well as a story site. We have our problems from time to time, and they have theirs. I'm not sure that people wanting free stories is going to change anytime soon. No one is forcing anyone to buy stories and no one is forcing authors to post free ones that want to sell them instead.

Why aren't you writing this to half or more the blog posts here?
Did you write 'I don't get why this is a BC issue/problem' in response to Elrod's posts about his health and why not? Is his heart problems not a BC issue and in need of your going after. How about the post on D-Day or another person who is dealing with depression? You should be consistent instead of targeting one person. Otherwise you appear to be many uncomplimentary adjectives.

I have learned to keep my mouth shut when a story bothers me. I suppose it is a sign of my growing up, or something. I don't buy books off of Amazon, there are already too many free stories on this site to read. An embarrassment of riches you might say.
