The new AMC series 'Turn' is the story of a Revolutionary War spy ring based on Long Island. It is describe in Verity as follows;
“Turn” centers around Abraham Woodhull ( “Billy Elliot’s” Jamie Bell), a farmer living behind enemy lines in British-occupied Long Island who bands together with a group of childhood friends to form the group. In this series, which promises to tell the “untold story of America’s first spy ring,” audiences will experience the fight-or-flight nature of the Revolutionary War and witness those who defy king and family to create a new nation while vowing to keep their work a secret.
That it may very well compliment my humble efforts 'The World Turned Upside Down' is one of those happy coincidence the Fates visit upon us from time to time. Though I expect the producers of 'Turn' will use every opportunity to 'liven' things up, for those who enjoy historical fiction the series should provide those of us who are languishing between Downton Abby seasons something to keep us sated.

Definitely looks good
As someone with a background in history, especially Revolutionary War history...I am looking forward to this. A great cast as well from what I see. Not just Jamie Bell (famous for Billy Elliot), but it also has Kevin McNally (Mr. Gibbs from the Pirates movies) and Angus McFadyen (Robert the Bruce in Braveheart).

of your story as I was reading the book "George Washington's Secret Six" which "Turn" is based on. The accounts of the lives of the spies in Manhattan very much reminded me of "The World Turned Upside Down."
