Hi, my darling readers!

Due to various non-bad reasons (me having been switched to another schedule at work, taking extra classes after that, and family, and so on) I'm getting dreadfully behind on my writing.

While I've been unreasonably proud of myself for how I've managed to stick to my Friday deadline for each new chapter for a good while now, I'll probably have to relax that. Maybe. We'll see!

Don't get me wrong - I love writing, and I have plenty of ideas. No writer's block here! I just don't have enough hours (or, at times, energy) to get to it at the pace I managed to squeeze in before. Previously, I was able to jot things down while at work during slower hours, but now I have to stay pretty active throughout the day which means that when the time comes to transfer the day's bounty to the computer, the notepad is empty! Oh noes! But that's alright! It just means that things will happen a little slower, or maybe the chapters will be a little shorter. One of the two. I've not made my mind up about that yet, and this is likely temporary. I truly enjoy giving out good-sized chapters every week, and that's something I'll want to return to.

This week has been pretty busy to say the least, with me teaching a couple of new people, and a lot of baking. Baking? Oh, yes! I'm off to my brother's this weekend for a family get-together and his birthday party. It'll be very nice seeing them all again. We're a pretty extended family, both in size and in how we're all spread out across the country, so when we have the chance to gather more than a few of the branches of our tree at any one spot, it's almost a cause for celebration in of itself!

So if you wonder (some of you, maybe), where this week's chapter of Horizons of the Heart went, most of it is still in the idea-bowl with floury handprints all over. I'll get to it as soon as I can, though!

Long story short? I plan very poorly. Not a hiatus. There will probably just be cake, and not stories, this week.
