I was having difficulty yesterday in accessing an older story with many chapters, so took my older computer and connected it and using AOL Version 1 instead of 9.6 that is in my newer computer, was able not only to access Authors, select the Author, and open and read all the chapters, in "Rules...." by Kaleigh Way, and even the page headings were in full colour like BCTS was until the Problems began.
Perhaps if others simply returned to earlier versions of their internet service providers' programmes, they too could find access easier ?
I know very little about how these things work, as I am an auto-didact, who learned from assembling a kit computer from Radioshack back when we used a tape cassette to store memory and we had to write all our own programmes in Basic, and the screen was a cathode ray tube in green with black or white lines, words, etc on it. I made my own screensaver with a programme over 100 lines long, that caused 20 randomly made four sided shapes to appear, one at a time, then fade out and a new set appear. Modern machines and their programmes are far too complex for me to understand. But this lack of knowledge once helped me open a programme that stored the results of a clinical trial that was costing over $ 100 000 every month, and to print out all the results, that showed that the trial had proven the new treatment worked and was safe enough, and the results could be published, and the trial discontinued, saving the company at least half a million dollars.
All their own people had been sent on Microsoft courses, they could all do the standard things, but not what I could.

Yeay for the older ways of learning.
There is always another way of looking at things, just take your time and tinker.
Thank you for the solution
