Hi folks Just seeing if anyone is interest in me continuing Carla's journey, I have transitioned and am legally a woman and will start writing again Hugs Carla Bay.

I enjoyed your stories, had a nice feel as if the protagonist, the adolescent then later teen/young adult heroine was writing it. Plus I am a sucker for anything down under.

I've just finished reading about Carla this morning, and thought it was great. I caught myself reading it with an ozzie accent (us Kiwis don't have any accent of course) and I gave a giggle at everyone wearing thongs; had to keep translating to Jandals. Ha. We have an annual carnival and it has an Octopus ride just like in your tale. I think our one dates back to the 1950's or 60's.
The sweet sensitive way you dealt with your characters, the humour and love they share and that the tale happened just across the ditch made it a wonderful tale for me.
Congrats on your personal milestone, thanks for sharing a wonderful tale, I'm keen to read some more. Cheers from New Zealand, Kiwi.

I think everyone who read Carla's story would love to read more about her, and then of course it can continue on with later generations. It could be another 'Blue Hills' (longest running serial on Aussie radio for those who don't know)
