A good friend "passed over the bar" recently, my muse has taken something of a holiday but left me with this thought to deal with. I will get back on track but right now this small doggerel is the best I can offer.
I am the Mask I wear
I am Teacher,
I am Guide,
I am Wanderer,
I am Healer,
I am Seeker,
I am Carer,
I am Solitaire,
I am Man,
I am Woman…
But I dare not lift the mask for fear of finding out who I am…
Am I the Mask or is there nothing beneath…
Who am I?

For some of us the question haunts...
From Les Misérables, Jean sings "Who am I? Am I the man I'm meant to be?" And from Phantom of the Opera "I am the mask you wear, it's me they hear". - my two fav shows, yet I choke, hearing tose two lines and their secret meanings. Or should that be the meanings for the secret me?
