I can't recall the name of the story or the author, but it's about a young man who was in a motorcycle accident in the "present day" and slipped into a comma. His parents placed him into some kind of cryogenic storage thing and the doctors pulled the brain and transplanted it into the body of a young woman a couple thousand years after that accident.
