Not to make too much of a big deal about it but in paying a large bill related to keeping the site online, I unintentionally used a debit card instead of a credit card. Because of other checks and debits outstanding on the account (it's the one hooked to Hatbox and the one I use to pay costs associated with keeping all the sites online), I'm going to overdraft by about $60 bucks on Monday.
So any payments into the Hatbox before that will be very much appreciated and will save me about $35 in overdraft fees.
I'm sorry about this but I transferred monies to try to cover it and I'm still short because my pension check doesn't come in until the 9th.
If you can help, thanks. And if you're in a similar boat, believe me, I understand.
Hugs,
Erin

I hope it gets to you in time.
I don't know about YOUR card issuer but I know the bank I work for charges 32 dollars for an overdraft or insufficient funds. After a few days we charge a daily charge if you are not back in the black.
Some of the card companies and banks can be real buggers about it.
As I understand it 32 dollars is cheap! And our daily charge - seven dollars -- for a continuing negative balance is low. Plus we have a four day grace period before the daily charges start. I'd hate to see what the high ones are like. OUCH!
Thank your US Congress and all the things they did to allow our credit providers and banks to "be competitive with the European banks". The current economic mess is largely due to that according to many economic analysts. Then they passed this massive new law in 2010 to *fix things* which in many ways may make things worse. At a minimum it is driving up compliance costs while only fixing a few of the weaknesses in the system. And the BIG BOYS are still allowed to dabble in derivatives, the very thing that helped get us in the mess.
