Many thanks to all of you who've helped with typos in SKIN. I have gone through and corrected them, so within a few hours, the Kindle copy should be fine. It's amazing what your miss.
If any of you ever find one, please let me know, I do have editors, but this time I think I rushed it and thought I could do it myself. BIG MISTAKE.
Thanks again
Tanya

Sorry if one is publishing for money
... than those things should be properly proofed, unlike on BC where it is free.
I think I will make it a policy to wait after a kindle release to be fixed before buying any. It is a pain to need to deal with Amazon customer service to get a replacement copy the last time I had to do that with an incomplete upload of a book by Tanya.

I agree
I will ensure that all my subsequent work will be proofed before release. Again, apologies, now I realise just how not to do it!

No big deal.
Though you are right, there were a few trivial typos, an historical error that would only be noticed by someone as old as I and a delicious malapropism that made me giggle. Nothing to detract from my enjoyment of the tale. I've seen much worse published for money TG fiction ... and one unreadable one written by a BC writer a few years ago.
The malapropism? 'Dilapidated' for 'Depilated' which made me laugh. Understandable because my spell checker tries to make the same error.
Don't let it put you off the book. Usual declaration of disinterest.

My Thanks to all
Is Skin available in dead tree form?

My books in dead tree form
It is my intention to have all my work in dead tree form.... EVENTUALLY
Ideally, I'd like it for a publisher to call me up and offer me an excellent deal. At the moment, I'm doing it all myself, so it's a lot of work, particularly as all I want to do is write!

I'm enjoying the read
Even with the mistakes. My wish is that more readers on this and other sites would help support the authors who have posted their works at places like Kindle and Lulu, but hey if you can get something for free, why bother? Arecee
I do Support our Authors
And I WILL purchase their works. That being said... I do so in dead tree format. For those willing, I do send contributions through Paypal if they were willing to accept it. Otherwise, I purchase their works when I see them in softback or especially hardback copies(which I prefer the best).
I don't use Kindle, Nooks or other e-readers. I like physical copies.
Just because an author posts her work here for free for our benefit does not mean she shouldn't be rewarded for her work. For that reason alone I will always support our authors. Their posting their works here first and free is a benefit for us. Our support should be reciprocated without question.
Always purchase the author's works if you enjoyed them when it becomes available.
