It's here, it's here!
You know that next part of Princess For Hire: The Second Semester that I promised, like, months ago?
It's finally written!
I've just sent it off to my official reviewer to read over before I post it, so expect it sometime late today/early tomorrow I guess, depending on how it is received by she.
No, it's not up to my old quality. Yes, it will get better. Heck, to be honest, I'm just glad I managed to sit down and churn out about five and a half pages in one sitting!
Once this goes up, the second book will be just over half over (it's fifteen parts, just like the first,) so hopefully that gives some hope to those who are waiting until it's finished to check it out.
In other story news...
No new Switcheroo, for the two people who might care. No more progress on my Darkrealms story. No new shorts (or pants or skirts, for that matter.) Several of each on their way. Perhaps days. Perhaps months. Don't hold your breath.
I'm workin' on it, though, I promise.

Yay!
Yay! You're one of my favourite authors and it's always great to see something from you. I look forward to that new chapter. :-)
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
Like I said, it's not very good....
But, what it does do is advance the story, and get me out of the hole I'd written myself into a bit.
Just a warning to people: as stated in the blog entry, the second book is just over half over with this part, and there are quite a few chapters coming up that are gonna make Becky out to be a bit of a drama llama. It's necessary for what's happening, and it makes sense for the situation she's in, but I'm putting this out there as fair warning, since it means the next few parts aren't gonna be all fun and games like a lot of the first book was.
The end of The Second Semester is THE END of Becky's story, at least as far as I'm going to be writing it. I'll more than likely open up the universe to other authors -- complete with a set of rules and regulations -- after the final part is posted, should anybody else wish to have a bit of fun with Kingston Academy, but Princess For Hire has been a HUGE investment of time and energy on my part, and frankly I don't think that once it's finished I'll have the will to go back and revisit the school, at least not from the viewpoint of an author.
Hopefully that's not gonna upset anybody too much, since it means stories will still be there to be had, albeit focused around other characters. If a few very specific authors were to ask I might even release permission for some of the current characters to be covered in more detail, but frankly I figure most people would probably have more fun just doing their own thing with their own characters. I've tried to keep PFH's time setting nebulous enough to give people a chance to write "current" years that still use different characters if they so chose.
'Sides, I've got so many other things to work on/being worked on, having this off of my back will be a HUGE relief :P

Becky's story
I truly hope to get to see the end of Becky's story, and I actually felt that the last installment was very good. It was well written, and it really took her character and Andrew into a new level. It shows that both of them are growing up and you can see that the bond between them is maturing.
I love the way your writing seems to take you places that you might not have meant to end up. It makes it more true to life in my opinion.
I can understand how you might run out of ideas for this universe, but I hope that you haven't gotten to that point yet. There is so much left to explore that I really wish that I had even half your talent and could contribute.
Anyway, I wanted you to know that reading what you have written has been one of the bright points of my life recently and to tell you that you are a very talented writer. I look forward to the continuation of the story.
Thanks for giving us all the gift of your talent.

Very glad
I will need to dust off my memories of the story, but I liked it quite a lot and very glad you've picked it up again.

I'm sure it'll be fine
all the other episodes have been and it's by the same author - so what could go wrong?
