Writing comes in spurts for me.
Sometimes there are weeks where I'm writing-writing-writing for days on end, it's all I wanna do.
Sometimes I'll go for months without writing anything at all. Much like with my art and music, if I'm not feeling it then sometimes it's impossible to get myself to do it no matter how much I want to complete project X or project Y.
Well, right now the stars are aligning, and I'm less than 5K words away from finishing a book!
Okay, it's more of a novella, according to word count, at about 22500 words once I finish it, maybe 25000 at most. Still, it'll be the longest thing I've completed in about 5 years.
And I'm SUPER excited to get it done.
I'm in the last two chapters and... I'm really happy with this one. Like, will it be to everyone here's tastes? Probably not: there's no sex, the only lesbians are side characters, and... anyway, don't wanna give too much away! But it IS, I think, a very cute story, and one I'm quite proud of so far.
Hopefully -- HOPEFULLY -- this inspiration streak will hold for a couple more days so I can get this finished.

My inspiration...
...tends to be pretty unpredictable. Sometimes, I can stick with a story for several months. Other times, I'll be wander from a story after a few days, when I'm inspired by a new story idea. Other times, I can go for ages without feeling inspired to write anything. I'm glad to hear things have been going well with the story you've been working on. I hope things keep going well!
