Hello Lisa,
I do so much enjoy a good SF story and this definitely has the makings of just that. There doesn't seem to be any 'fat' on this tale and it leaves just enough cliff-hanger at the end to make the reader want to see the next episode.
We know that there must be a TG element in there somewhere and we might think that we know where but I for one am prepared to wait and see.
